Ten Great Gas Saving Tips:

1. Avoid prolonged warming up of engine, even on cold mornings - Thirty to forty-five seconds is plenty of time.

2. Eliminate jack-rabbit starts. Accelerate slowly when you start from a dead stop. Don't push the pedal down for more than a quarter of the total foot travel.

3. Buy gasoline during the coolest time of day - (early morning or late evening is best).  Gasoline is the densist at this time. Gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not the density of fuel concentration. You are charged according to "volume of measurement".

4. Avoid filling gas tank to the very top. Overfilling results in sloshing over and out of tank. Never fill gas tank past the first "click" of fuel nozzle, if nozzle is automatic.

5. Never exceed legal speed limit. Primarily they are set for your traveling safety, however better gas efficiency also occurs. Traveling at 55 mph give you up to 21% better mileage when compared to former legal speed limits of 65 mph and 70 mph.

6. Traveling at fast rates in low gears can consume up to forty-five percent more fuel than is needed.

7. Keep windows closed when traveling at highway speeds. Keeping a window open causes air drag, which reducing your mileage by ten percent.

8. Avoid rough roads whenever possible!  Dirt or gravel can rob you of up to thirty percent of your gas mileage.

9. Stoplights are usually timed for your motoring advantage. By traveling steadily at the legal speed limit boosts your chances of having the "green light" all the way.

10. Remove excess weight from trunk or inside of car (extra tires, back seats, unnecessary heavy parts). Extra weight reduces mileage, especially when driving up hill.

How We Book in Pre-Owned Vehicles onto Conicelli.com

Below is a brief description of the process of booking in pre-owned vehicles for the internet. (Conicelli.com, Cars.com, Autotrader.com, etc.)

After the car has been inspected and detailed, the vehicle barcode is scanned into a handheld computer. The computer identifies the year, make, and model of the vehicle using the VIN number. The accessories and features are then manually added into the system. After all the information for the automobile is entered, it is now time to take pictures of the vehicle with the camera that is built into the handheld computer.

Once this process is finished, the handheld computer is plugged into a printer via USB port. The appropriate Window Stickers are entered into the printer. Certified pre-owned vehicles require specialized stickers.  The data is printed onto the stickers and placed on the vehicles driver-side rear window. The vehicle is now ready to be delivered to the dealership in which it is owned by. At the end of each day, the handheld computer is plugged into an internet connection.  The same information added on the window stickers along with pictures taken are added to the designated websites.
