Kathleen Gallagher wins 'I Spy Mr. Nice Guy' Beach House Contest Grand Prize

Winners of the 2013 "I Spy Mr. Nice Guy" Beach House Contest (from left to right): Kathleen Gallagher (grand prize), Joseph Bontempo (2nd prize), and Betty Strain (3rd prize), with Conicelli Autoplex Internet Sales Director Lori Hammond.
Conicelli Autoplex held the drawing for its "I Spy Mr. Nice Guy" Beach House Contest on Tuesday evening, May 7, 2013 in the Conicelli Honda showroom in Conshohocken, Pa.

The contest had been running since February, with Conicelli management spotting over 100 drivers with "I Spy Mr. Nice Guy" magnets displayed on their vehicles, which entitled them to a $20 gift pack and the opportunity to participate in the contest with a grand prize of a week in a Sea Isle City oceanfront condo.

After kicking off the festivities with refreshments, snacks and games, all of the contestants were registered to play in the drawing. In all, there were more than 40 contestants on hand, and the first segment of the contest was held, where a surprise contest for Best Dressed Contestant was held. Betty Strain and Donna Garretson each won in a tie, and each received a $75 gift card.

Then the main event was held, the drawing for the Beach House. The Grand Prize of a week in the beach house was won by Kathleen Gallagher, from Philadelphia Second Prize, a $350 gift card, was won by Joseph Bontempo, a Norristown resident, and the Third Prize of a $150 gift card, was won by Betty Strain of Philadelphia.

Thank you, everyone, for participating. Keep that "I Spy Mr. Nice Guy" magnet on your car, because it won't be very long before the next big contest begins! In the meantime, Conicelli management will be giving away $20 gift packs to lucky drivers who are spotted with a magnet on their car.

Conicelli Autoplex Sells Cars.com's Top Four 'Most Affordable Compact Sedans'

Conicelli Autoplex sells the Most Affordable Compact Sedans.
Cars.com shopped for the lowest-price compact sedans that had a minimum selection of options -- automatic transmission, USB port, cruise control, remote entry, tilt/telescoping steering wheel and steering-wheel audio controls -- that most buyers want, rather than a totally stripped-down base model. At the top of the list are 4 cars sold by Conicelli Autoplex, where buyers can assess and test-drive all of these top-rated vehicles with the help of a single salesperson.

The winner, America's Most Affordable Compact Sedan, according to Cars.com, is the 2013 Nissan Sentra SV (with Driver's Package), followed by the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS (with Preferred Package), the 2013 Toyota Corolla LE, and the 2013 Honda Civic LX.

All of the vehicles in tested trim have an MSRP of less than $20,000, though they can also be found in higher trim levels at a higher price. The comparison included the cost of five years of fuel to come up with an overall cost of ownership and operation (Cars.com blog, May 9, 2013).

The leading vehicle, the 2013 Nissan Sentra SV, is available at Conicelli Nissan in Conshohocken, Pa., where there is a current lease special offering the SR trim as a Sign & Drive ($0 due at signing) lease for $219 per month for 36 months.

Finishing second in the comparison, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS, is available at Conicelli Hyundai in Conshohocken, Pa., which has a Sign & Drive lease special ($0 due at signing) in a different trim (Option Group 2) for $213 per month for 24 months.

Third place was the 2013 Toyota Corolla LE, now being offered in a low-down-payment 36 month lease for $145 per month (with $905 due at signing). The Corolla is offered at both Conicelli Toyota locations, in Conshohocken and Springfield, Pa.

Finally, the 2013 Honda Civic LX can be leased for $128 per month for 36 months (with $2754 due at signing), and is available at Conicelli Honda in Conshohocken.

All of these leases, plus dozens more, can be viewed on the Conicelli Autoplex website's Specials Page. A unique part of the buying experience at Conicelli dealerships is that all vehicles and all brands (Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Scion, and Toyota) can be seen and test-driven with a single sales associate. No more wandering from store to store, now you can shop all of these most affordable vehicles in one location, with one sales associate!

Conicelli-sponsored Colonial Technology Student Association Wins Awards at State Conference

Members of the award-winning Technology Student Association, comprised of students from Colonial Middle School and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and sponsored by the Conicelli family and Conicelli Autoplex, are shown at the Pennsylvania State TSA Conference in April, when the awards were presented.
The Colonial Technology Student Association (TSA), a group of students from Colonial Middle School and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School who focus on science and technology topics, produced projects that were submitted at the Pennsylvania TSA State Conference held April 18-21 at Seven Springs Conference Center, and won some impressive awards.

The students swept the top three places in the Biotechnology Design competition, and also were awarded first place honors for Engineering Design.
The Conicelli family and Conicelli Autoplex are pleased to have been among those in the community to help these scholars achieve their goals.

"We would not have been successful at the Pennsylvania TSA State Conference without the generous support you have provided us throughout," said Joseph Narke, Chapter Advisor of the Colonial TSA. "We deeply appreciate the willingness with which you have and continue to sponsor our efforts."

The group will now proceed to the TSA National Conference in Orlando, Fla. in late June, where they will again compete. More information about the TSA program can be found at the state and national websites.
