The all-new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, available now at Conicelli Hyundai, achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) highest honor as a 2012 Top Safety Pick last week. Top Safety Pick recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in moderate overlap frontal, side, rollover and rear impact evaluations. Azera, Elantra, Sonata, Genesis, Equus, Tucson and Santa Fe are all 2012 Top Safety Picks.
"Safety continues to be a top priority at Hyundai, so we are thrilled to see our brand new Santa Fe on this important and prestigious list," said Mike O'Brien, vice president, Corporate and Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. "Hyundai is committed to developing and providing the best in both passive and active safety technologies. This IIHS Top Safety Pick confirms that the Santa Fe is both versatile and a safety and leader in its class."
The IIHS Top Safety Pick ratings help consumers pick vehicles that offer the highest level of crash protection. Santa Fe meets the Top Safety Pick rating criteria by earning good ratings in all four IIHS evaluations (front, side, rollover and rear).
The all-new 2013 Santa Fe is equipped with Hyundai's Active Driving and Safety Dynamics technologies that help drivers avoid accidents by giving them enhanced control in adverse situations. This includes the optional Active Cornering Control All-Wheel-Drive system, the Vehicle Stability Management System, Hyundai's Hillstart Assist Control and Downhill Brake Control, and Hyundai’s Driver Selectable Steering Mode which gives drivers three operating modes to select from -- Comfort, Normal and Sport.

The completely redesigned 2013 Nissan Altima, available now at Conicelli Nissan in Conshohocken, PA, is more than just new and improved, it's truly evolution on the edge!
Conicelli Nissan's biggest-selling model has taken a leap into the future. When it comes to the innovations and advanced technology behind the ground-up, totally new 2013 Nissan Altima design, some things might be considered evolutionary. Take the body, the engines, transmission, suspension, steering, seats, the instrument panel, navigation system, music connection, armrest, windshield wipers, and tire pressure monitoring system. The previous generation Altima had them. This generation does, too.

Not a big deal. Until you take a little closer look. Call it evolution on the edge. Or evolution to the extreme. Or simply call it a design that is about to revolutionize what people think about Altima -- and what a mid-size sedan can be.
Consider:
A body, that while clearly recognizable as an Altima, is lighter, more rigid and cuts a cleaner path through the wind
A 2.5-liter inline 4-cylnder engine that is lighter, stronger, quicker and more fuel-efficient (combined with the new transmission design) than the previous 2.5-liter design
A next-generation Xtronic CVT that takes Nissan's two decades of Continuously Variable Transmission leadership into a new dimension of smooth operation and fuel efficiency
A new, refined rear multi-link suspension that could be at home on a premium European sports sedan
A hybrid power steering system that combines the feel of a traditional hydraulic box with the efficiency of modern electric control
Front seats that take their inspiration from outer space technology – for out-of-segment comfort
An intuitive 3D-effect information display that's very easy to read
Navigation that's never outdated
A Pandora music connection
Windshield wipers that actually help you avoid tickets
And a tire pressure monitoring system that tells you when your tires are full
Of course, when considering an Altima that is "new and improved," you also need to consider the "new and never available before." For example, an advanced RearView Monitor camera that detects four views is utilized to bring Altima into premium sedan territory with available Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD).

The 2013 Accord is powered by an array of Honda's Earth Dreams

Honda VTEC engine -- now featuring direct fuel injection for the first
time. The new engines are mated to either a new 6-speed manual, a

depending upon the trim level. The new powertrains allow the Accord to
boost miles per gallon by as much as 3 MPG over last year's models,
according to Honda.
Other new Honda technologies include the
first use of the all-new cloud-based HondaLink system, which lets
drivers put away their smartphones and still stay connected to the
people, music and social media they love. Another groundbreaking
technology is LaneWatch, which uses a camera in the passenger-side
mirror to provide an enhanced view of the blind spot next to you when
changing lanes.

Discover the full family of Hybrid Synergy Drive vehicles, from the original hybrid automaker....
Originally introduced in 2000, the Toyota Prius was the very first electric/gasoline hybrid vehicle to be sold in North America. Practically overnight, the remarkable fuel efficiency and environmentally friendly demeanor of the Prius turned it into a huge sales success, making Toyota the number-one selling brand of hybrid vehicles in America with well over one million sold.
Thanks to the enormous success of the Prius, Toyota has since expanded the lineup of vehicles powered by its legendary Hybrid Synergy Drive system to not only sedans and crossovers, but also to an entire family of Prius vehicles, including a compact city model, a family-friendly wagon and a hyper-efficient Prius Plug-In.
2012 Prius Family Introduction by Mike Shulski
Starting with the original, the 2012 Toyota Prius (MSRP $24,000) has not only captured the hearts and minds of American drivers, it has also captured the accolades of the industry. Named “2012 Best Overall Value” by Intellichoice and “Most Dependable Compact Car” five years in a row by J.D. Power and Associates, and selected as an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2012 “Top Safety Pick,” the Prius also has the lowest fuel costs and lowest operating costs in its class according to Intellichoice. The Prius rewards its owners with a remarkable 51 mpg city and 48 mpg highway, making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in America.
For those who are seeking a Prius with more compact dimensions for crowded urban environments, the 2012 Prius c (MSRP $18,950) is the perfect choice. Boasting all the benefits of Hybrid Synergy Drive, the Prius c features industry-leading fuel efficiency of 53 mpg city and 46 mpg highway. The Prius c also earned an IIHS “2012 Top Safety Pick,” rounding out its appeal as one of the safest, most affordable and most fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles in America.
With the looks and convenience of a stylish five-door wagon, the 2012 Prius v (MSRP $26,550) hits the mark for growing families seeking more cargo space. The “v” in “Prius v” stands for “versatility” – in this case, cargo space on par with most small SUVs, maxing out at 67.3 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat. Even with the rear seats up, the Prius v still offers 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space. Of course, every other family vehicle falls short of the Prius v in fuel efficiency: 44 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. There’s no other family vehicle on the road today that offers such an ideal blend of fuel efficiency and cargo capacity.
For those who want to be on the bold frontier of next-generation fuel efficiency technology, the 2012 Prius Plug-In (MSRP $32,000) is your ride of choice. Operating for up to 15 miles and going as fast as 60 mph under pure electric power, the Prius Plug-In returns a miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) “fuel economy” rating approaching 100 mpg. Unlike other pure electric vehicles with limited driving range, like the Nissan Leaf, the Prius Plug-In also features a combustion engine for unlimited driving. Even if the Prius Plug-In runs out of battery power, it’s still fueled by the Hybrid Synergy Drive system found in every Toyota hybrid. The Prius Plug-In fully recharges in three hours on 120-volt power and 1.5 hours on 240-volt power, making it the perfect short-distance commuter that can potentially use zero fuel.
In addition to the Prius family of vehicles, Toyota also offers Hybrid Synergy Drive in two other popular models: the Camry sedan and Highlander utility vehicle. Completely redesigned from the ground up, the stylish 2012 Camry Hybrid (MSRP $25,990) is among the safest, most dependable and most fuel efficient family sedans on the road.
Thanks to improvements to the Hybrid Synergy Drive system and aerodynamic enhancements, the 2012 Camry Hybrid is a whopping 26 percent more fuel efficient than the previous generation Camry Hybrid, returning a remarkable 43 mpg city and 39 mpg highway. Unlike competing hybrid sedans that sacrifice interior space to accommodate batteries, the Camry Hybrid has actually gained 2.1 cubic feet of trunk space, for a total of 13.1 cubic feet. A wider body, longer wheelbase and more ergonomic interior panels have also helped the Camry gain head-, leg- and hiproom for greater passenger comfort.
For those seeking the expanded capabilities of a utility vehicle, the 2012 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (MSRP $38,715) delivers the goods – literally and figuratively – with an outstanding combination of fuel efficiency and cargo capacity. Returning 28 mpg in both city and highway driving, the 2012 Highlander Hybrid easily accommodates most every growing family with 94.1 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats folded flat. Even with a second row of passengers, there’s still a generous 42.3 cubic feet in the cargo area. For those extra large families, the Highlander Hybrid can be equipped with third-row seating. In addition to its outstanding blend of fuel efficiency and roominess, the Highlander Hybrid is among the safest vehicles on the road, earning the prestigious IIHS 2012 “Top Safety Pick.”
If you’re searching for a dependable, safe, stylish hybrid with fuel efficiency among the best of any car on the road, there’s no vehicle brand better than the original – Toyota. Visit our showroom today and we’ll help you figure out which Hybrid Synergy Drive Toyota best fits your needs.
What a great success the "Driving Away The Cold" program was this year for the CARing for Kids Foundations and Conicelli Autoplex. We donated over 1000 coats to local charities along with over 10,000 coats donated by the CARing for Kids Foundation. Conshohocken:
Carson Valley Children’s Aid- 648 Coats, Bright Hope Baptist Church- 252 coats, Missionary of Charity- 54 coats, Springfield: Frederick Douglass School/World Impact-198 coats.
Conicelli pledged that for every car sold in September at any of our dealerships, we will donate an additional coat. In past years the Conicelli organization has donated approximately 1,000 coats per year and we would like to continue to improve on that number. Conicelli is very excited to be involvement with this great cause for the 5th year in a row.
The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation will distribute an estimated 30,000 brand-new winter coats this month to area children in need through its fifth annual Driving Away the Cold program. It will host a special day of giving on October 10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where 5,750 brand-new winter coats will be distributed to students from approximately 15 elementary schools in the Philadelphia School District.
“In 2011, approximately 80 percent of the students enrolled in the Philadelphia School District were economically disadvantaged,” said Claudia S. Averette, M.Ed., deputy chief of Parent, Family, Community Engagement and Faith-Based Partnerships, School District of Philadelphia. “When the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation approached us about collaborating on a coat distribution event, we immediately began planning and offering support on the best way to do it. The end result will be thousands of our students arriving to school warmer, healthier and ultimately more ready to learn. We are thankful to the Foundation and its dealer members for organizing a program such as this.”
In just four years, the program has given the gift of a new winter coat to nearly 80,000 children – that totals more than $1.2 million in giving. This year, the program hopes to donate it's 100,000th coat.
